以下詳しい解説です。

２０２２年～２０２３年にかけて制作した４作目のソロアルバム「雨 / 水」のリリースは２０２４年に持ち越しとなり、その副産物としてこの音源は制作された。

タイトル通り、自室で行われたライブ・アルバムであり、２０２３年１０月２５日と２６日の録音からテイクを選び、収録している。



The release of fourth solo album, "Rain / Water," produced between 2022 and 2023, was carried over to 2024, and this album was produced as a byproduct.

As the title suggests, this is a live album performed in my own room, and takes were selected from recordings made on October 25 and 26, 2023.



録音は基本的にコンデンサーマイク１本で行われた。

当然の事ながらボーカルとオケ（ギター）のバランス調整が後からは困難なため、立ち位置や、発声の仕方、ギターの弾き方など、ミキシング的な要素を念頭に演奏は行われ、これが通常のライブとはやや異なる点である。



The recording was basically done with a single condenser microphone.

Naturally, it is difficult to adjust the balance between the vocals and the backing (guitar) afterwards, so the performance was done with mixing elements in mind, such as standing position, the way of vocalization, and the way of playing the guitar, which is somewhat different from a normal live performance.



また、トラック同士の音量調整以外の方法での調整はミキシングの段階でも行われ、マイク一本で録られたモノラルの情報を、自然な形を壊すことなく、いかにコントロールし、ポストプロダクションで、ある種のマジックを生じさせられるかどうか、ということは新しい挑戦であり、そこから得られる教訓はとても大きかったと言える。



The challenge was to control the monaural sound recorded with a single microphone without destroying its natural form, and to create a kind of magic in the post-production process. It was a new challenge, and the lessons to be learned from it were significant.



収録曲は前作「世界」の曲が大半を占めるが、次作からの曲も含まれている。

歌とギターと空気感しか要素がなく、作っていてこの上なく心細かった。



The majority of the songs on the album are from the previous album "Sekai", but also include songs from the next album.

The only elements were songs, guitars, and atmosphere, and it was the most heartbreaking thing to make.



これは色々な意味でこの歳にならないと作らない音源だと思う。

色々な意味というのは、自信と諦めが綯い交ぜになったような（その比率はご想像にお任せします）、名付けようのない心持ちである。



In many ways, this is a work that one would have to be at my age to make.

What I mean by "in many ways" is a mixture of confidence and resignation (I'll leave the ratio to your imagination), a feeling that I can't really put a name to.
